I didn’t have much time to get out for photos this week, so I shot this rose in my kitchen. I can’t say that I’m completely thrilled with the result, but it goes to show that if you’ve got fifteen minutes, some window lighting, and a flower, you can put together a decent flower photo.
On Monday, I got up unnaturally early to spend some time by the Missouri River, down from Hauser Dam. Given the opportunity for some big landscape shots, I think it’s funny that my favorite pic from the day is this macro of a Shooting Star (Dodecatheon). I’ve wanted to get a shot like this for a while. Thank goodness for spring!
On the other end of the spectrum, here’s a 36-image panorama of the river that I posted on my Facebook page the other day.
I’ve never had much luck with panoramas, but I’m happy with the way this turned out. This was my first time using Microsoft’s Image Composite Editor. It did a great job of stitching the images, and it’s free!
